What maintenance is required on a ductless mini split system?

Ductless mini-split maintenance means scheduling a professional annual inspection and cleaning and doing a few simple homeowner checks between visits. The most common performance loss comes from dirt buildup that restricts airflow and drainage. A yearly tune-up keeps efficiency high, prevents nuisance leaks, and extends component life. Our technicians handle this work daily across Clarence Center and nearby towns. When an indoor unit drips, the first thing we check is a clogged condensate line, not the refrigerant. Members of our Comfy for Life program receive the annual maintenance included.

• Clean the air filters periodically to maintain airflow.
• Technician tune-up items: check coolant levels and pressure; inspect fan motor and blades.
• Calibrate the thermostat; clean and flush the condensate drain.
• Clean the evaporator coils; lubricate moving parts.

Turn off power before cleaning and never open sealed refrigerant components yourself.
